The Basics
Wrap any tab name in double square brackets to create a link to it. The name must match a tab exactly (case-insensitive).
I wrote about this in [[World Building]] earlier.
If the tab exists, the link is highlighted in amber. If the tab doesn't exist yet, it shows dim with a dashed underline.
See [[Chapter 4]] — but [[Chapter 99]] doesn't exist yet.
Typing Links
Type [[ to open an autocomplete dropdown. Keep typing to filter by tab name. Use ↑ ↓ to navigate, Enter or Tab to insert. Close the brackets manually with ]] to create a link without autocomplete.
Navigating Links
Hover over a highlighted link for a preview of the first 280 characters of that tab. Ctrl+click any link to jump to that tab directly.
The Links Panel
Open the panel with Ctrl+L or the Links button in the toolbar. It shows three sections for the current tab:
- Links in this tab — every [[link]] this tab makes outward, flagged if unresolved.
- Linked from — other tabs that reference this tab by name, with a line of context.
- All wikilinks — a global index across the whole project, sorted by reference count.
※
Tab names are the source of truth. If you rename a tab, links pointing to its old name will show as unresolved until updated. The Links panel's All Wikilinks section flags them.
